Get Adele’s Make-up Look She rocked at The 2012 Grammys...

I have fallen in love with Grammy-winning Adele's retro glamour look lately and so happy she won lots of awards, including her Brit Awards last night :)
~
I loved a lot of the looks on the red carpet last night however there is only one look I want to recreate, and that is Adele's. Queen of the Grammys, Adele's makeup was - retro glamour with touches of edginess, her statement strong eyeliner and soft but stand-out brows. Adele has made this iconic look her own which many of us make-up lovers can’t help but recreate and get inspired by.

Get the look with MUA:

MUA Products to get the look:
Glamour Nights- £4
Extreme Curl Mascara- £2
Shade 5 Black Liquid Eyeliner- £1
Style 'Vixen' False eyelashes- £2

Shade 13 Lipstick- £1

Step 1:
With a small oval brush apply Shade 1 from The Glamour Nights palette all over your eyelid sweeping gently up to the brow bone.
Step 2:
With an angled brush use Shade 2 from the Glamour Nights palette and apply this into the crease of the eye- the tip here is to press the product into the crease.
Step 3:
Now with a fluffy blending brush loaded with shade 1 from Glamour Nights palette sweep and blend over the crease area- we want this really softly blended!
Step 4:
Now load your pencil brush with Shade 3 and apply this to your brow bone in order to highlight your eyes.
Step 5:
This is where the magic happens- Use style 'Vixen' MUA false eyelashes and cut to fit to your eye shape, flex the lashes to apply to your natural lashes correctly and apply your glue and wait to this is tacky and then finally apply with a steady hand.
Step 6:
Shade 5 liquid eyeliner is then applied to the top lash line- we want this thick and slight flicked out to create Adele's signature cat eye flick!
Step 7:
With Shade 2 from the Glamour Nights palette and a thin eye brush I have gently applied the eye shadow to the bottom lash line to add subtle definition to the eyes.
Step 8:
Finally using your favourite MUA mascara apply two coats of mascara to your top and bottom lashes. Don't forget to get those lips looking gorgeous, I used Shade 13 Lipstick to rock Adele's beautiful bold lips!
The Final Look:

Happy Pancake Day Love from my MUA nails…

Pancake Day also known as Shrove Tuesday in Britain. It is called Pancake Day because it is the day traditionally for eating pancakes as pancake recipes were a way to use up any stocks of milk, butter and eggs during the abstinence of Lent and in my eyes pancake day is a chance to get inspired to create fun Pancake day inspired nails with MUAJ

French crêpes, popular in France, Belgium and Switzerland. They are thin pancakes and are usually served with a large amount of sweet or savoury fillings, ranging from fruit or ice cream. So I have created two different nail looks today from my favourite Pancake toppings – Chocolate and Strawberries! Yummy. Now you can create your very own Pancake inspired nails with MUA either with your favourite toppings or using my toppings for inspiration.

Get the Pancake look 'Strawberry Toppings' :

Step 1:
Apply Shade 'U & I' £2 to all your finger nails. Let this dry completely.
Step 2:
Now gently apply a red blob with Shade 8, £1 with a steady hand- try your best to create a strawberry shape, or you can use a thin art brush. Let this dry completely.
Step 3:
Now using a thin art brush or a sharpened pencil dip your tool into U & I nail varnish and create strawberry pips onto your red design.Let this dry completely.
Step 4:
Finally using a thin art brush dip your brush into Shade 13 and create fine detail to complete your strawberry design. Let this dry completely.
Step 5:
To keep your design looking shiny, apply Shade 17- £1 clear top coat to all your fingernails.

Get the Pancake look 'Chocolate Toppings':

Step 1:

Using Shades 8, 16, 21- £1 each and U & I - £2 , apply these to your finger nails. Let this dry completely.
Step 2:

Using a thin art brush dip this into Shade 21 nail varnish and create a dripping chocolate effect on all finger nails. Let this dry completely .
Step 3:
To keep your design looking shiny, apply Shade 17- £1 clear top coat to all your fingernails.
Enjoy stuffing your faces with Pancakes tonight- I have already had Pancakes for lunch! Hmmm...Don’t forget to Tweet me or Facebook me your Pancake Day inspired nails. All MUA cosmetics can be purchased from selected Superdrug stores or online www.muastore.co.uk

Top beauty looks of NYFW & LFW for Autumn Winter- Get the look on a budget with MUA!

It’s all about Big hair, natural makeup and healthy nails –Take a look at the biggest beauty trends to come out of New York & London Fashion Week and get the look with MUA!
~
Nails:

What colour will we be wearing this A/W?  "Anything goes".
Years ago, you used to hear people say: 'That shade can't be worn in winter, or in the summertime. But now designers are requesting a full rainbow of colours regardless of the time of year and even mix matching the colours on the runway, anything goes, which is great fun for us nail varnish lovers- YAY!
Shade 1, £1
By the way, moon nail 2012 looks best on the rounded and almond shaped nails.
Shade 8, £1
Finally, in the upcoming season don’t forget about red nail polish that was used in the Chanel and Vivienne Westwood collections.
Face & lips:

This season, a major trend was for the 'neutral' style, creating a fresh and pure look, using nude colours on the eyes and lips. However, those seeking a pop of colour were not disappointed, thanks to the blue lipstick that was spotted at Jeremy Scott! or the red lipstick and fuschia at Erickson Beamon to recreate the Vampy 1920s flapper style the designer wanted.
Here are some of my top lipstick colours I am loving at fashion week, get the look with MUA…
Juicy Lipstick,£1
A new take on Barbie orange tone lipstick but more sophisticated, dare I say! With a little definition around the eyes and less eyeshadow, Juicy lipstick would be easily wearable even in the daytime.
Shade 1 Lipstick, £1
Spiky lashes with burgundy lips, as seen on Gucci
Can I just say that this is my #1 favourite makeup look from the run way so far! They created a vampy 3-dimensional lip with the girly doll-like lashes, so shade 1 is perfect for this trend.

Eyebrows:

Shaping the face was a big theme this year with a huge focus on the eyebrows. Especially ‘Samurai eyebrows' for designer Kimberly Ortiz, which attracted a lot of attention on the runway. While at Jeremy Scott, the designer who is best known for his show-stopping designs, the make-up artists framed the brows with facial jewellery to bring his ravers-of-the-21st-century inspiration to life.

Here are my top eyebrow products I am loving to create beautiful eyebrows with MUA…

Eyebrow pencil, £1

My favourite eyebrow pencil to frame your face and achieve perfectly groomed eyebrows. This has a brush to groom your eyebrows and ensure that they are in place, whilst the pencil itself adds definition for the finishing touch to any fashion make-up look.
Single Matte eyeshadow in Shade 19, £1
Or why not try a A matte eyeshadow in your hair colour is a perfect way to create natural looking groomed eyebrows. use an angled brush to create perfect fashionable brows this season!
~
Now you can be on trend this season with MUA on a budget. All the above products only comes to £6! So get yourself down to you local Superdrug store or online at www.muastore.co.uk for your on trend look with MUA this season!

WOW MUA’s New Professional Eye Lashes in Five Styles for Only £2!

Finally MUA have brought out their Professional False eyelashes exclusively online only! Hooray for us false eyelash junkies and for us make-up artists and for only £2 we can all afford them on a budget as we all know false eyelashes can sometimes set us back £5 each time we buy a set! They are available in five hot designs and these fashionable beauties lengthen and add depth for a show-stopping striking effect.
~
Here are the styles:
Sassy:
Vixen:
Siren:
Glam:
Flair:
I will be blogging a make-up look to complement all five styles of lashes which will also include a blog competition to win all styles very soon- so keep an eye out for that post!
~
Finally here are some tips and tricks of mine on how to apply false eyelashes:
1. Apply makeup as you usually would – foundation etc.

2. Apply a thin line of eyeliner, either pencil or liquid to your eyelids from the MUA range.

3. With a steady hand take your false eyelashes out of the container making sure they are as they should be.

4. Using a close mirror, take each eyelash set out by itself (making sure you have the right and the left eyelash set identified).

5. Make sure it fits, if too long then cut a little off the end (the outer ends).

6. With clean hands, apply a thin coating of eyelash glue to the base of the false eyelashes.

7. Steadily match these to your natural eyelash line, move quickly if you need too. Hold in place for 10 seconds or and release, they should hold.

8. Apply this to the other set.

9. Once the false eyelashes are applied if there are any gaps simply apply another layer of eyeliner over the top to make them look as natural as possible.  Finally enjoy your new MUA lashes! Be sure to take the little tube of eyelash glue with you if possible in case they drop slightly!

10. Tip: to get the false eyelashes to stick better to your own, try using clear mascara.  Because sometimes black mascara has a tendency to clunk up and might be too much of a heavy look.

To remove, gently pull them off, if they are in good condition they can be used again so simply keep them in a safe place away from water and humidity, somewhere dry

MUA Professional False eyelashes can be purchased from online only on www.muastore.co.uk Get your now for only £2!

My Amazing MUA Artistic Nails inspired by Spring/Summer Trends…

Today at MUA towers we had a little visit from an amazing nail tech girl called Maz who I follow on Twitter @ChelseaDagger_ and occasionally Maz helps out with the MUA events (recently she was at the Love hearts event) Maz kindly came into work and created these beautiful artistic nails using MUA nail varnishes and her own nail art brushes, inspired by Spring Summer 2012 trends-Pastels! I most certainly learnt lots of new techniques and tricks from Maz and will be using them in future for nail looks I create for you MUA fans. Maz has created a different look on each nail- Cherries, Zebra Print, and Roses with polka dots, Leopard print and a lace love heart! I can’t stop looking at my nails now- they are just beautiful. Now I am ready to show them off at London Fashion Week.

Maz creating Roses with her art pen, you can use the MUA liquid eyeliner, £1!

From the runway to high Street, nail art has emerged as a form of self-expression in which anyone can participate and I am finding lots of people are doing on a budget at the moment especially with MUA. A temporary way to feel stylish and make a statement on a budget with MUA J

Maz creating zebra print art with Shade 5 Liquid eyeliner, £1 using MUA nail varnish Shades in 5(green) 16(Pink) and U ROK(purple) from the Love Heart collection

It's no longer just about bold solid colours or eye-catching metallic. Inspired by celebrities beauty blogs and magazines, everyone is having a go at this new trend. Intricate floral patterns and cartoon characters, glittery mosaics, 3-D motifs with lace, gems, charms, foils, even magnets. The shapes of nails are even changing, from traditional round and square to pointy stilettos which Lady Gaga keeps rocking J

Maz creating Cherries with her art pen with Shade 5, you can create the same effect with Shade 1(green) liquid eyeliner £1.
Nail art is what all celebrities like Lady Gaga Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj lend their names to. Now you can have a go at nail art from home using MUA nail varnishes, art brushes and other tools to help you create artistic nails.
Maz creating lace around the love heart- Get creative with art brushes you have at home!

Nail art is ‘The new lipstick of cosmetics’.

How did Maz create this look?
In Shade order I <3 U- £2 , 21-£1 , I <3 U-£2, for the marble effect- U ROK- £2, 18-£1(purple) & 5-£1(green)
To create the Zebra Print, Cherries, Love Hearts, Leopard Print nails Maz used her own art brushes dipped into the MUA nail varnishes and she also used MUA liquid eyeliner in Shade 5(black) £1 and with a steady hand she got creative with all the detailed designs.
The Final Look:

Thanks to Maz who created this wonderful look. Follow Maz on Twitter: @ChelseaDagger_ and also check out her website :
