Autumn/Winter Make-up Trends with MUA

It’s that time of year again… Now it’s coming into October we now dark nights and plunging temperatures so I have plenty of new beauty trends and MUA products to get excited about. And this season, there are some really easy, wearable trends that we can all try at home – with a little help from our favourite MUA Cosmetics J

BERRY LIPS

If it’s the deepest, darkest shade of red or plum, it should be in your makeup bag this season.

Intense Kisses in 'Lips are Sealed'-£2

BOLD BROWS

This trend is all about natural, but enhanced brows. Don’t over-pluck them, but let them take their natural shape and define with Pro Brow set.

Pro-Brow Kit-£3

BOLD EYELINER

Forget subtle, perfectly applied liner why not get creative with thick lines, big flicks, metallic finishes, and bold colours?
Gel Eyeliner-£3

SOFT PINK BLUSH

When it comes to blusher, a soft and very pretty rose pink is the way to go for the season ahead. Hold back on the application – one sweep across each cheekbone is just enough with a cream blusher and powder finish.

Blush Perfection Cream blusher- Bittersweet-£2

All MUA Cosmetics can be purchased from selected Superdrug stores or online www.muastore.co.uk

MUA Nail Constellation Swatches

Yes I have gone MUA Nail Constellation Mad! So I have some beautiful nail swatches and tips for you when using MUA's Nail Constellations as many of you have been asking me I thought this blog post would be useful for all you MUA Fans.

Nail Constellation Top Tip Application:

1. Start by painting your nails with a MUA Nail varnish ideally matching the chosen nail constellation shade- I suggest you apply one coat let this dry and then make the second coat a thick application.

New nail varnish shade 'Bright Plum'-£1

2.Whilst the second coat of nail varnish is still wet sprinkle over the constellations beads until your whole nail is covered with the beads. Make sure you have a bowl or something that will catch the excess beads so you can re use them!

3. Gently press the beads into the nail and allow them to dry and set in place.

4.Finally a little tip here I want to show you- If you put a clear top coat on the Nail Constellation beads it WILL dull the colour of the beads but will keep them in place for longer, however if you want the colour to remain bright I suggest you cap just the tips of the nails to keep the beads lasting longer but to be honest they won't last on the nails as long.
~
Here is a picture example of Leo Nail Constellations with a clear top coat application and then another example without a clear top coat.
Left:without top coat, Right: With top coat

5. Finally a question which has been asked by many! Any excess beads left remaining can be re used by simply popping off the plastic removable funnel lid that comes with all the nail constellations. I don't like waste and I am sure many of you don't so I love this idea! Here is an example of the lid took off...

NEW MUA Beauty Balm Shades Swatched

Finally MUA have NEW Beauty balms in five new shades for pink toned and yellow toned skin tones and of course some darker shades. A first in Beauty balms in a variety of shades on the high street at such a bargain price of £4 each! Beauty Balms stands for Blemish Balm or Blemish Base but that doesn't mean it's a spot cream. It's more of a multi-function cream that has coverage and skincare properties. It promises natural-looking skin coverage. MUA’s Primes the skin, smooth’s out the skin and also conceals any blemishes.

What do Beauty balms do?
What makes MUA’s BB cream different to others on the high street is that they are available in eight different foundation colours to match all skin tones –Light,Light Rose, Medium, Medium Rose, Medium Dark,  Dark, Dark Rose and Caramel. It also acts like a primer, evens out complexion like a tinted moisturiser, covers minor imperfections and redness like a concealer, hydrate your skin like your day cream, brighten and perk-up a dull complexion. They are also fantastic for mixing to your desired colour.

Swatches of the NEW Shades:

All five shades are now available in selected Superdrug stores and soon to be online for only £4 each. To check out my other blog post on the first three BB Creams >here<
