NEW Pro-Base Complexion Kits

Finally there is a last addition to the Pro-Base range and it’s the Complexion Kits which is the ultimate on-the-go kit with a super-lightweight cream to powder foundation formula which can sort all those complexion dilemmas. 

There are three kits available in colours Ivory, Nude and Mocha at only £6 which includes a cream to powder foundation, cream concealer and highlighting cream. The cream to powder foundation glides on as a velvety smooth cream with the light texture of a powder allowing you to build medium to full coverage. The cream concealer helps tackle any imperfections and the highlighting cream transforms your complexion with a luminescence shimmer.

I suggest you wear the cream to powder foundation for opaque, full coverage, or simply break it down to be more translucent by mixing it with our face primer!

My tops tips how to use the complexion kit:

1. Apply the cream to powder foundation onto clean skin using your fingertips or your MUA foundation brush using a gentle downward motion.

2. Apply the cream concealer onto the darker areas of your face - underneath your eyes, onto the sides of your nose, the corner of your mouth and the hollow of your skin.

3. Apply the highlighting cream with your MUA Concealer brush to the upper cheekbone to accent. Finally apply your MUA Matte Translucent powder to set your base.

Concealer can be purchased in liquid, cream or stick form. A concealer stick is arguably the most versatile, working well to conceal all types of imperfections without rubbing off easily as liquid concealers can. Application of stick concealer will add only seconds to your daily makeup routine.

Apply any foundation before you apply the concealer using the concealer F3 brush. If you prefer not to use foundation,the concealer can be applied directly to your bare skin.

NEW Matte Perfect Foundations

The MUA Matte Perfect is an oil-free, soft matte-finish liquid foundation which has a buildable coverage that controls oil and shine throughout the day.  Matte Perfect Foundation improves skin brightness, radiance and texture. For normal to oily skin types. It also absorbs oil and controls shine perfect for those with Combination/ oily skin for that Perfect Matte Finish.

A good foundation for oily skin is a foundation that doesn't have oil in it. You should always look first and see if the label says "oil free" which MUA’s NEW Matte Perfect liquid foundation states. Products that have oil in them, will clog the pores, make the skin look worse, and by that I mean greasy looking and eventually lead to breakouts and blackheads. The Matte Perfect foundation has an "oil free" label meaning its water based and therefore is friendlier to this type of skin.

Karla's Top Tips for application:

*First, gather the following tools: a duo-fiber stippling brush MUA Pro F2 £3— and using Matte Perfect liquid foundation that matches your skin tone. Pour some foundation on the back of your hand. If you’re not yet used to how much foundation you use, pour a little bit — you can always pour more if you run out.

*Lightly dab the tip of your stippling brush on top of the foundation to pick up some colour.

*Use circular motions as you apply the foundation.

*Work your way down and around your nose and the rest of your face. Continue making circular motions with the brush. Pick up more foundation when needed.

Conceal & Brighten Kit Tips & Swatches

After launching the new Pro-Base Conceal & Brighten Kits last week a lot of you want to know more about this amazing kit and what it actually does.  I only really like using cream concealers on models and on myself as I feel I have more control over using them and I can build them up to more ticker coverage if needed so I was super excited to share this product with you all. 

It’s perfect for dark circles and nasty red spots with its super thick and dense (so great for spots and blemishes), and each concealer colour has two pans of product, one more yellow-y skin coloured one and a peach, so it can be mixed up to just the right shade. The peachier tone is perfect for concealing under-eye darkness – let’s be honest, the scourge of women everywhere. And finally in the third pan it comes with a standalone creamy highlighting colour to suit most skin tones. 

The trick to using this you need a brush F3 the concealer brush to mix the colours up the right way on the back of your hand. Then apply with feathering motions (or dabbing motions if it’s a spot) onto the offending area. It can be sheered out or coverage built up until all imperfections just melt away under its tender ministrations.

For under eye circles it really is usually a little too thick, so I generally put a bit of basic moisturiser on the back of my hand and dip a tiny bit on the brush, then onto the product. The moisturiser breaks it up slightly so you get sheerer coverage.
