How to Wear Blue Babe Eye Shadows for Spring Inspired by Kim Kardashian

Many pastel shadows contain pigments that shimmer on the lid and act a bit like a light for your entire eye area. I’ve found that most of the pastel eye shadow colours I’ve tried here are not too bright and can be used as merely a sheer layer to get a great effect. MUA Blue Babe Trio Eye shadow set has a slight sheen look which is very modern and very different from flat pastel colours.

Here are some great tips on how to Blue Babe Trio eye shadow set for spring:
I know what you are thinking, “Oh, the nightmare of pastel blue eye shadow! Surely you just when you say this is a spring makeup trend!” But I’m serious,; this shade can look just as fabulous on you as it does on Kim Kardashian! The reality TV star wears her pastel blue eye shadow with a nude lip-gloss, which keeps the look subtle and fresh.

•You might find that layering pastel shadows helps you to get used to them if you don’t want to go straight into applying a single colour on your eyelid. Use the lightest shade, such a slightly, when used as an eye shadow base, can anchor your pastel shadow and make it less intense.

•If you want a stronger look like Kim Kardashian’s, wet your eye shadow brush first, and then sweep on the shadow in the darker shades.
•If you don’t already have an eyeliner brush, invest in one, as pastel shadow is great for lining underneath lower lashes. Used alone or over eye pencil, you can really make your eyes the centre of attention when you use pastel shadows as liner.

So if you just want to experiment a little, you will see that you can achieve a beautiful spring look with Blue Babe trio eye shadow set. There are six beautiful trio eye shadow sets at £2.50 each, however Blue Babe is my favourite this season. Get yours online at www.muastore.co.uk  or from selected Superdrug stores.

Nail Quake Trend: My Techniques and Tips

Crackle nail polishes are a kind of polish, which makes your coloured polish looking *vintage*, for example you can see it on old furniture. As a layer over a coloured polish it cracks when its drying and so you can see the colour layer underneath. Crackle is nothing new, but HOT! For years it was very difficult to research and find a brand to buy it from, but since nearly one year there come more and more brands with crackle polish on the market and MUA’s affordable one on a budget is perfect to have fun and get Vintage nails this summer. And to celebrate MUA’s 2nd Birthday this week online, MUA Store is giving away present to all you MUA fans- Nail Quakeeye , all you have to do is order purchases online from now till 12:00pm tomorrow- 28th April 2012.

MUA Nail Quake

MUA have a range of 6 professional colours : Jail Break (White), Shattered Ice (Silver), Arrow (Purple), Quiver (Blue), Shiver(Bright Pink) Shockwaves(Dark Pink). (pictures)
Jail Break
Shattered Ice
Arrow
Quiver
Shiver
Shockwaves

My Tips to handle MUA Quake Polish:

You can wear crackle either alone for everybody who don’t want to have strong contrast or over EVERY coloured nail polish. Wear your regular polish in two coats to get an even, dense layer underneath.

Some tips for application:

* Make sure you have enough polish on the brush and work from one side to another. Don't polish like normal tip - middle - side - side!

* Don't press too strong and polish with a light hand.

* Leave both side free of coloured polish, but polish over also this part with the crackle polish - crackle shrinks when it’s drying and if you don't apply it on the sides the effect is concentrated in the middle, which looks a bit ridiculous, when the sides have too much free space without crackle!
* The colour polish must be completely dry when you apply the crackle!

* Work and apply the crackle polish quick - if not, the solvents will also soften the colour underneath and smudge it, especially on combinations of dark polish and bright crackle!

*Normally you apply just one coat, most of the times a second looks not sooo pretty. Here are two types of application: a thin application causes fine lines and hair cracks, a saturated, thicker coat will show bigger cracks:

So if you are in the mood for some on trend Vintage nails then get your MUA Nail quakes out to play which are only £2.99 each, or why not purchase an order from www.muastore.co.uk today to claim your FREE Nail quake with any order?

Tips on wearing this season’s hottest pastel shades!

Now that the weather isn’t the best at the moment, don’t let this spoil this year’s Spring/Summer make-up looks .I am ditching the dark shadows and going for lighter, pastel colours using MUA’s Pretty Pastels eye shadow. And to celebrate MUA’s 2nd Birthday this week online, MUA Store is giving away present to all you MUA fans- Pretty Pastels eye shadow palette , all you have to do is order purchases online from now till 12:00pm tomorrow- 27th April 2012…  Find out how you can achieve a fun and flirty springtime look with this pretty palette!

Everything you need to know about MUA’s Pretty Pastel eye shadow palette…
This palette comes with 12 complimentary shades so you can pick and choose for a variety of looks. They're a soft, bendable, pigmented and have a beautiful shimmer finish and they have a texture that glides on with ease. You can easily build up the eye shadow, to get richer pigmentation.  The palette contains mix of bright and nude pastel shades.

How do you get a bright and cheerful look with Pretty Pastels Palette?
Playing with pastels can be tricky — I have to ditch the black, brown and grey and dabble in some lime green, lilac and baby blue.  From pretty pinks to lime green, there’s a bunch of amazing spring eye shadow colours here to choose from. Taking a walk in the park or in the office all day, these pastels give you that fresh spring feel.
Make-up I did on a photo shoot this year inspired by pastel colours.
Photographer: Ryan Handy
The whole idea is to make your eyes the primary focus on the face. When wearing pastels on the eyes, stick to neutrals everywhere else, otherwise it can end up reading to pageant-y. Team up the pastel on the eyes with a Mosaic bronzer on the cheeks and nude lips with Love heart lip balm in 'Kiss Me'- £2.
Kiss Me- Love Hearts Collection-£2

Mosaic Bronzer in 'Natural Glow' - £2.50

Make sure you prep your eyes to make your eye shadow last all day. As with any eye shadow, especially pastels, it’s super-important to use a base so the colour doesn’t crease. My favourite primer is MUA’s Eye primer- £2.50 “It’s like glue for eye shadow!”.

So why not head over to www.muastore.co.uk and order online today to claim your free Pretty Pastels palette and master this trend on yourself!

Tips on using Siren False Lashes to get Lydia Bright’s TOWIE look

 1. Using a close mirror, take each Siren eyelash set out by itself (making sure you have the right and the left eyelash set identified).
2. Make sure it fits, if too long then cut a little off the end (the outer ends).
3.  With clean hands, apply a thin coating of eyelash glue to the base of the false eyelashes.
4. Steadily match these to your natural eyelash line, move quickly if you need too. Hold in place for 10 seconds or and release, they should hold.
5. Once the false eyelashes are applied if there are any gaps simply apply another layer of eyeliner over the top to make them look as natural as possible.  Finally enjoy your new Siren MUA lashes! Be sure to take the little tube of eyelash glue with you if possible in case they drop slightly!

The Perfect Eye Shadow Palette for those glamorous evenings!

I am still loving MUA’s Glamour Nights and Glamour Days palette that MUA brought out before Christmas. My favourite palette out of these has to be Glamour Nights- As I always opt for it even for the day time, however this palette makes the perfect glamorous palette for those special occasions. So here is my review and how to use the palette. And to celebrate MUA’s 2nd Birthday this week online,  MUA Store is giving away present to all you MUA fans!- The Glamour Nights palette on any online order you purchase from now till 12:00pm tomorrow- 25th April 2012…

What is Glamour Nights Palette?
The palette contains 12 shades, a mix of both shimmer and matte. It concentrates on evening shades such as deep forest greens and lots of glitter pearl shades. Glamour Nights has seven matte shades and five shimmer/frost finish eye shadows. The majority of the palette is constructed of deep smoky eye type shades, at a quick glance the majority of this palette is new shades that don't feature in the other MUA palettes.

Swatches of Glamour Nights Palette

The shimmer based shades swatches are really soft and very strong pigmented. In terms of wear -these shades do go on the skin very fair so I suggest you use MUA’s Eye primer- £2.50

The matte shades however are a fantastic pay off!
~
How to wear the shades from Glamour Nights?
Creating a 1960s eye look with Glamour Nights
The Shimmer shades are best applied to the eyelids, brow bone, and corners of the eyes. Shimmer eye shadow contains small particles that reflect the light, as opposed to matte eye shadow, which does not. Both types of eye shadow add colour, interest, and depth to the eyes.
Glamourous red & black smoky eye effect
The Shimmer eye shadows may be used in conjunction with the matte shades for a pulled together look, without going overboard with the sparkle. For example, some people choose to only apply this type of shimmery eye shadow on the brow bone and the inner corners of the eyes, but use matte eye shadow for the eyelids. This then highlights the brow bone and the eyes, making them look brighter and more open, and making the wearer look more awake.
~
There is also Glamour Days available which is a more wearable day palette. The Glamour Nights palette retails at only £4! at selected Superdrug stores or online at www.muastore.co.uk or why not get your FREE Glamour Nights Palette by purchasing online today? Promotion ends on 25thApril.

How to Get Perfect Lashes with Extreme Volume Mascara

Here’s my top tips how to get perfect, clump-free lashes with MUA’s Extreme Volume mascara. Including tips on how your mascara can work in more ways than one to save you time, guesswork and money. And to celebrate MUA’s 2nd Birthday this week online,  MUA Store is giving away present to all you MUA fans!- An Extreme Volume Mascara on any online order you purchase from now . Offer changes at 12pm every day. Offer ends 11.59Am Tuesday 24th April 2012. YAY!

What is MUA’s Extreme Volume Mascara wand?

This mascara has a curved wide mascara brush that helps curl your lashes while also lengthening and adding volume to them. The beauty of this mascara is that you can skip the step of curling your lashes before adding mascara.
~
To use this mascara, hold the brush with the curved side facing up toward your eyelashes. Place the wand at the root of your eyelashes and lightly wiggle it back and forth. Move the brush from the root of your eyelashes to their tip, wiggling the brush back and forth as you go. The wiggling helps separate your lashes, so you are not left with a clumpy, spidery look.
~
Just a helpful note: avoid pumping the mascara wand in and out of the bottle when getting ready to apply it. This pushes air into the bottle and makes your mascara dry out faster.
Karla’s Mascara tips:

Tip 1:
If you have a traditional brush wand, improve lash separation while applying mascara by moving the wand in a swift, zig-zag fashion from lash root to tip as opposed to one sweeping motion.
Tip 2: One of the most common lash mistakes

Don't forget to coat your inner lashes. "Many women only apply mascara to the middle and outer corners of their lashes. This can give off an illusion that changes your eye shape, making them look closer together or more narrow. Think of your lashes as a fan with three sections. You want to amplify every section of the fan -- middle, outer side and inner side -- to really open up your eyes and flatter your eye shape.
Tip 3: What to do with the wand-tip glob
Dab the tip of your mascara on a tissue to get rid of the glob that tends to form there. This will keep you from getting uneven, goopy product, especially on your shorter lashes.
Tip 4: Should you let mascara dry between coats?
When applying multiple coats of mascara, avoid putting several coats on one eye at a time. You'll end up with "one really thick coat." Instead, get a more defined finish by applying one coat on your left eye, then switching to your right, then going back to your left, and so on. This allows each coat a little necessary time to set (but not completely dry) before you put on the next coat.
Tip 5: When to throw out your MUA mascara
Mascara generally lasts about three months, but the biggest sign that you need a new MUA mascara is when "it stops performing like the day it did when you first got it.
Tip 6: How to recycle your MUA Extreme Volume mascara
Don't be sad when you have to throw out your MUA mascara. You can always recycle the wand by cleaning it very well with makeup remover, then reusing it as a very effective lash separation brush or a brow brush.
