I recently changed my hair colour to a dip dye red effect. This has therefore inspired me to create a nail and make-up look to match my hair using MUA cosmetics. The looks that I have created here are easy to re-create at home and you can simply follow my step-by-step guide for a dark red and black look, who says you have to wear bright pastel colours this Spring/Summer? Be a little daring with MUA…
Red & Black Nails:
Shade 2 & 6- £1 each.
This nail look is so effective and unique looking.
To get this look simply work on each finger nail at a time and apply Shade 2(black) and whilst your black nail varnish is wet quickly apply Shade 6(red) to the tips of your nails stippling the nail varnish onto the black. This should merge together to create a marble effect. Remember this will only work when the nails are wet.
Red & Black Eyes:
Get the look-
Step 1:
Using Intense coloured eyeliner in 'Jet Black'-£1 and apply this to your top eye lid
Step 2:
Apply the eyeliner to the inner corner of the eyes to create a cat eye effect
Step 3:
Finally apply the eyeliner to the top and bottom water line
Step 4:
Using Glamour Nights eye shadow pallete- £4 load a brush with the black matte eyeshadow and press and set over the black eyeliner
Step 5:
Load an angled brush with the same black eyeshadow and set and press the eyeshadow in the water line and on the lower lash line
Step 6:
This is where the fun starts! Use the matte red eyeshadow from Glamour Night Palette- load an angled blending brush with the red eye shadow and apply this to the inner corner of the eyes
Step 7:
Take a blending brush loaded with the red eyeshadow and blend the red into the crease line slightly blending up the brow bone
Step 8:
Keep blending the red until you get this faded effect. Finally apply two coats of your favourite MUA mascara!
