MUA Pro NEW Gel Eyeliners!

Now I have been waiting for MUA to bring out gel eyeliners in their pro range for a long time now and finally they are here! - Oh the joys of smudge-proof make-up looks I can create for you all! They are intensely pigmented and super slick and come in four shades, from the classic black of ‘Underground’ to the beautifully bold blue of ‘Tribe’ and are completely smudge-proof once the product has dried. And the most exciting [bit of the product is the  unique brush applicator, which is cleverly hidden in the lid, which has been designed so you can create an array of long-lasting looks and styles which in future blog posts and videos I will be demonstrating.

Swatches of MUA Pro Gel Eyeliners
Shades:
Underground(black)

Fairground(Sparkly Grey)

On the Move(Sparkly Gold-Brown)

Tribe(Sparkly Blue)

What’s the difference between gel and liquid eyeliner?

Gel liner is creamy and most of the time they do come in pots like MUA have brought out. They personally last longer and don't smudge. Some of them dry out really fast and you have to use specific gel liner brushes to apply them onto your tight line, waterline, or on your eyelids- however this comes with a real handy synthetic brush which I really enjoyed using.  I find gel eyeliner much more easy to use, and once you get used to it you can get that precise line that a liquid can also give- it’s great for those who love creating eyeliner but never can get a perfect line with a liquid eyeliner- gel eyeliners will make everything much more better for those beginners, it’s much easier to use to begin with, and if you stuff up your line you can just smudge it out a bit.

How much are the MUA Pro gel eyeliners & when can I purchase?
They retail at the bargain price of £3 each! And will be online - www.muastore.co.uk and Superdrug stores from July 4th 2012.

Keep an eye out for eye looks I will be creating with these beautfule gel eyeliners very soon!

WOW! MUA Pro’s NEW Every Lash Volume & Lengthening mascara!

We have all been waiting for this moment (Well I have!) MUA Pro finally brings out this amazing NEW mascara- ‘Every Lash’ for only £3 and it smells of apple!! Yummy J It adds glamour, length and volume to your eyelashes. ‘Every lash’ is available in three shades – Black, Brown and waterproof.  This is the perfect mascara to add length with the first application and glamorous volume with the second. And by using the waterproof shade for any upcoming summer days will guarantee you long lasting full lashes without smearing.
What type of mascara wand is it?
 The Plastic Comb Wand
This style of brush is made of rubber, with tiny little teeth evenly spaced along the head. Often slim line; these are really good for people who like a lot of separation and definition like I do.
~
Just a little note to think about when using this new mascara wand from MUA is that it does tend to pick up a lot of product, I think maybe because the plastic doesn't absorb any of the product, it just sits on the brush. This is great for people with not many lashes or particularly short lashes.
Lash Application on myself using 'Every Lash'
Karla’s Top Tips Using ‘Every Lash’
Tip 1:  Place the wand at the root of your eyelashes and lightly wiggle it back and forth. Move the brush from the root of your eyelashes to their tip, wiggling the brush back and forth as you go. The wiggling helps separate your lashes, so you are not left with a clumpy, spidery look.
Tip 2: Avoid pumping ‘Every Lash’ mascara wand in and out of the bottle when getting ready to apply it. This pushes air into the bottle and makes your mascara dry out faster.
Tip 3: Don't forget to coat your inner lashes. "Many girls only apply mascara to the middle and outer corners of their lashes. This can give off an illusion that changes your eye shape, making them look closer together or more narrow. Think of your lashes as a fan with three sections. You want to amplify every section of the fan -- middle, outer side and inner side -- to really open up your eyes and flatter your eye shape.
Tip 4: When applying multiple coats of ‘Every Lash’ mascara, avoid putting several coats on one eye at a time. You'll end up with "one really thick coat." Instead, get a more defined finish by applying one coat on your left eye, then switching to your right, then going back to your left, and so on. This allows each coat a little necessary time to set (but not completely dry) before you put on the next coat.

‘Every Lash’ mascara retails at £3 and will be available at selected Superdrug stores nationwide from the 4th July 2012 and soon available online.

GOING FOR GOLD Revealed… (GIVEAWAY)

I am very excited to be revealing more of the NEW MUA Professional Palette! This palette definitely lives up to the hype over the weekend of us revealing it on our Facebook page.  We can finally reveal the collectable limited edition palette which is called ‘GOING FOR GOLD’ in ready for the Olympics held in London this year! Oh yes, we all like to get our patriotism on sometimes, MUA Towers has gone British mad this time!

This is a great way to celebrate the Olympics with your own going for gold eye shadows in nude warm gold’s, to bright yellows mixed with stunning matte slate greys! And what is even more exciting is the design of the palette is square eye shadows!  I just love this- what do you think of this design do you prefer it to the original circle eye shadows? I would love to know your thoughts.  This palette makes me feel proud to be British and I can’t wait to show you eye looks with it.

All shades from going gold are a mix of shimmers and mattes like the original MUA eye shadow palettes however this time there are 10 shades then the normal 12 shade palettes.  While I imagine one might find this product incredibly useful now that the simultaneous gold-silver eye shadow look is "in", I some of you might be worried about some of the shades being too bright in your make-up bags however these are practical/wearable shades for an everyday look as well as teaming up with a smoky eye for a glamorous night out around the Olympic time. Can’t wait till you get your hands on MUA’s NEW Going for Gold Palette?  Well we are giving you the chance to *WIN* this palette, to take part in the competition all you have to do is follow this blog via Google Friend Connect and at the bottom of my blog post, tell me what GOING FOR GOLD  Eye make-up look you would create for the Olympics with this NEW Palette. The best comment will be picked and the winner be announced on the 4th July 2012. Competition closes midnight on the 3rd July 2012.
THIS NOW APPLIES TO ALL RESIDENTS!
Swatches of the NEW GOING FOR GOLD Palette:

First row of swatches

Second row of swatches
Application:

I am so excited about the shades and pigmentation of these colours in this palette especially as it’s so hard for me to find real yellow gold shades with a fantastic pay off! So again MUA have done me proud as usual and all shades in this palette are buttery, smooth and a just glide so easily onto my eyelids! Shade 5 is just my favourite out of this palette- It’s just a perfect bright yellow gold, actually don’t think I have ever tried an eye shadow this shade before and trust me I have many, many eye shadow colours in my make-up collection. I will be wearing this palette all throughout the Olympics now.
Wear:
Using a the MUA primer will provide a good solid 8-9 hours of wear and this also brings out the pigments even stronger than they actually are!
When can I purchase GOING FOR GOLD?
This palette will be available in selected Superdrug stores from the 4th July 2012 and soon to be available online on Superdrug and on MUA Store. We will be announcing this date on Facebook/Twitter pages so do keep an eye out. It could be sooner than you think MUA Fans!

Don’t forget to enter our competition to WIN this amazing NEW Palette. Also keep an eye out for eye make-up looks I will be creating with GOING FOR GOLD.
