Ombre Lips with MUA Cosmetics

Are you all about ombre nails and/or ombre hair at the moment? I know I am especially if you have seen my latest nail looks on my old blog posts. Well now there's a new ombre concept about to hit the beauty scene: ombre lips! But unlike fashion and hair, when you apply this concept to makeup, it’s not only about shading, but actually creates a 3-D effect. Which is an added bonus, making the lips look bigger!

Top Lip: Shade 13 Lipstick-£1

Bottom Lip:  Shade peach Shimmer Out There Plumping Lip gloss- £2

Top Lip: Intense coloured eyeliner in 'bright orange'-£1,Shade peach Shimmer Out There Plumping Lip gloss- £2  

Bottom Lip: Intense coloured eyeliner in 'lovely lilac'-£1,Shade peach Shimmer Out There Plumping Lip gloss- £2

BB Cream- £4 in light was applied all over the lips then 'Hot Lips' Love heart lip balm- £2 was applied to the centre of the lips

Working from the outer corner of the mouth- Intense coloured eyeliner in 'bright orange'-£1, Shade 13 lipstick-£1, Intense coloured eyeliner in 'snow white'-£1

Either get inspired by the ombre lip looks I create in this post or create your own style- Find two or more contrasting colours that are in the same family, such as:

 •Red & Pink

 •Red & Orange

 •Orange & Pink

 •Purple & Pink

 •Purple & Red

 •Wine & Red

 •Burgundy & Red

And remember whenever you make a bold lip statement; keep the rest of your makeup low key. This look is for the adventurous and may not be wearable for all- but you can still apply the concept of adding light to the centre of your lips for dimension and a fuller effect.
