Summer Make-up Inspired by Jessie J at the Glamour Awards

Congratulations to Jessie J for winning UK Solo Artist of the Year at the Glamour Awards yesterday. I love her style, make-up, hair and her music of course and always love to do the odd blog post on her. So Jessie J might be most famous for her punky, gothic style, but at last night's Glamour Awards she turned heads by making a totally different fashion statement.

 So Jessie surprised fans and onlookers by opting for a new, softer style which I just loved! It was very retro '40s-inspired look by replacing her short black bob with long soft waves thanks to some hair extensions; I even had the girls at MUA Towers say how familiar her hair is to mine! (Well I am a big fan so this is very exciting, see below...)

UNDRESSED Revealed… (GIVEAWAY)

I am very excited to be revealing more of the NEW MUA Professional Palette! This palette definitely lives up to the hype over the weekend of us revealing it on our Facebook page.  We can finally reveal the name of the palette is called ‘UNDRESSED’ and we are very excited to have another addition to the collection of pretty nudes to smouldering metallics, it’s what you all have been waiting for!

The pigmentation from all the shades is fantastic. In terms of cost, I think you are definitely getting the best out of £4 with 12 variety colours. The wonderful thing about this palette is that you can achieve natural, day looks, & smoky, night looks! The colours last all day! And for the best results, you can use MUA’s eye primer. The eye shadows are so buttery, I just love the way they apply. Whether you’re 13 or 42, this palette is the one for you!

Application:

 All shades in this palette are buttery, smooth and a joy to apply. Shade 6 has the shimmeriest fallout due to the strong pigmentation of it being so gold so just keep a fan brush handy and you’ll be fine.

Wear:

Using a MUA primer that I know works for my eyes as I have oily eyelids, these shades go on for ages. I get a good solid 8-9 hours of wear and this also brings out the pigments even stronger.

Here's a Way to Make Your Smoky Eyes Look More Summery!

Smoky eyes are an all year round thing, but there is a little way to update them for the season you can see here...

Surround them in bronze eye shadow. Why does this work? Bronze is just a summery colour, it reminds me of tans and boho jewellery and other fun warm weather things. So adding it to your favourite grey or black eye makeup look is a quick way to give your makeup a little seasonal update.

Get Katy Perry Inspired Eyes From the Billboard Music Awards 2012

 As Katy Perry announced her official #KP3D movie poster on Twitter today ...from a hairbrush to a headliner...which sets to be her new film out on JULY 5^TH, which here at MUA Towers we are very excited about.  Also Katy looked amazing at the Billboard music awards I thought it would be rude not to do a make-up look dedicated to her this week using MUA Cosmetics!

To go with her lavender Blumarine dress, Misaki silver bangles and purple hair, Katy Perry took a break from her usual bright colours and winged eyeliner and looks glamorous, it kind of reminded me of a 90′s Goth with the defined eyes, groomed brows and bold, wine-coloured lips.

Get the Katy Perry Look!

Step 1:

Apply Intense Coloured Eyeliner in 'Snow White'-£1 to your eyelids

Step 2:

Now blend with your finger to soften and even out. This acts as a great sticky base!

Step 3:

Load an oval eyeshadow brush with the lightest shade from 'Innocence' trio eyeshadow set-£2.50 and set Snow White eyeliner.

Step 4:

Apply Snow White eyeliner to the bottom water line. Set this with Innocence Trio eyeshadow set in the lightest shade

Step 5:

Load an angled blending brush with the darkest brown shade from Innocence Trio eyeshadow set and place this into the crease of they eye

Step 6:

Now- Blend, Blend!

Step 7:

To open the eyes up apply Shade 5- black eyeliner-£1 to the top lash line and to give it more a subtle and smoky look take Matte Single Eyeshadow in Shade 20-£1 and place this on top of the liquid eyeliner

Step 8:

Load an oval brush with the lightest shade from Innocence trio eyeshadow set and apply this to the brow bone to make the eyes pop!

Step 9:

MUA's false eyelashes in style- 'Vixen'-£2 will finish your Katy Perry look! Apply two coats of your favourite MUA mascara in order to blend your natural lashes with the false lashes and there you have Katy Perry eyes!

The Finished Look:
