On The Fourth Day of Christmas My True Love Sent to Me,

Four Calling Birds…
~

Here at MUA towers we have an exciting NEW giveaway competition ready for the countdown till Christmas. Every day to celebrate each theme of the traditional 12 Days I will be creating a fun MUA look encouraging you to create the same. This will go live on the blog and on our Facebook page and anyone can enter this giveaway all you need to do is follow this blog via Google Friend Connect and at the bottom of my blog posts, there will be a competition to win everything involved in the look and comment why you love the look I have created and the best comment will be picked! This only applies to UK Residents only.

How to get this creative blue lip look inspired by ‘Calling Birds’ Maybe not a look you will rock every day, but definitely a chance to have fun with make-up… As this was no specific bird in the song my inspiration came from the amazing blue, black and white feathers of a Eurasian Jay bird- There one strike of blue feather is amazing design and colours,  In fact this feather is used a lot of feather jewellery.

Step 1:
Make sure your lips are free of make-up. And as you follow these steps make sure you don’t close your mouth as you don’t want to colours to run into each other!
Step 2:
Using a sharp Intense Colour Eye liner in Shade ‘Jet black’, £1 and outline your lips- make sure this is a thick line. Now using a sharp angle brush gently blend  the black down-you want to make the black fade to nothing.

Step 3:
Apply Intense Colour Eye liner in Shade ’Turquoise’, £1 and apply the blue over the faded black eye liner. Make sure you still leave a gap in order to put your next colour in the centre of the lips. Using a clean angled brush gently blend the blue down- you want the blue to fade to nothing.

Step 4:
Finally apply Intense Colour Eye liner in Shade ’Snow White’, £1 and apply the white over the faded blue eye liner. This should now fill in the remaining lip area.

Step 5:
As these eye liners are beautifully creamy you want to set these colours and I have used Trio Eye shadow set in ‘Blue Babe’ , £2.50 Using a small clean brush I have applied the correct eye shadow colour to match the different shades of blue and white eyeliner. This should now set the cream as well as intensify the eyeliner colours.
