How to get these ‘Nine ladies dancing’ manicured inspired nails. The inspiration behind this look was Ballet dancer’s shoes, as the ballet dancers suit the Christmas theme from the Nut Cracker play which is one of my favourite Christmas plays! And what more to bring the ballet dancers to life than using finger puppets…he he ,  I had so much fun creating this look and now you can re-create these nails with my step-by-step guide including a link to print of your own ballet finger puppet!

Step 1:
Begin by applying Shade 12 nail varnish, £1 to all your finger nails. Let this dry completely.
Step 2:
Tear off a piece of clear tape and lay it across your nail bed, leaving the tip exposed. The tape will act as a pattern for the white tips of your French manicure. It is okay if the tape overlaps onto your finger, because it is better to be too long than too short. Make sure that the piece of tape is completely smooth and pressed firmly against your nail, leaving no gaps
Step 3: Paint all of your nail tips in silver in Shade 11, £1 you do not have to worry about getting the nail polish on the tape, because it will be removed as soon as the tips are dry. Now allow the painted tips to dry thoroughly. This step is very important, because if you try to remove the tape before your nails tips are dry, you may mess up the perfect manicure.
Step 4:
Remove the tape when you are sure that the nail tips are perfectly dry. Now using a black liquid liner in Shade 5, £1 use this as a nail art pen and apply a straight line underneath the manicure line. Let this dry completely.
Step 5:
Now create a cross on each nail with a steady hand applying the black liquid liner in Shade 5, £1. Make sure you really take your time applying all your crosses. Let this dry completely.
Step 6:
To add some Christmas magic apply gel glitter eyeliner in silver- Shade 1, £1 on top of the black lines. Let this dry completely.

Step 7:
Finally add a clear top coat in Shade 17, £1 to ensure your beautiful ballet manicured nails stay on for longer.

Step 8:
(If you want to be more creative) : You can print of a finger puppet ballet just like my one which I found on this wonderful blog! He he... This was so much fun! Get creative and have fun with Christmas MUA nails… Make sure you Tweet or Facebook me any pictures of your looks!
