Another exciting moment in the MUA towers this week, I got to play with our Brand NEW 3 in 1 extreme contour liners which come in over 8 beautiful colours for just £1.99 each! Previously you could only get your hands on the one Shade ‘Black’ in stores and online, so for MUA to bring out seven NEW shades I have been in MUA heaven creating lots of beautiful looks ready to show you MUA fans.

What does the 3 in 1 extreme contour liner do?

This 3 in 1 extreme contour liner is different to a normal eyeliner pencil because it has an angled edge which is softer and smoother around delicate areas of the eyes, rather than a sharp point that most eyeliner pencils have. The 3 in 1 contour liner can be used to define the eyes which are applied around the contours of the eye to create a variety of different eye looks.

So by using the angles of the nib, this fantastic eye pen creates three different looks what ever the occasion from Dramatic- using the widest part of the nib to define and create a bold eye design, Glamorous- for a smoky eye using the mid part of the nib to create a soft sultry effect. Or what about an Ultra chic eye look? You can use the tip of the nib to get precise lines around the eyes.

How do I use the 3 in 1 extreme contour liner?

Here you can follow my step-by-step guide using the contour liner to create glamorous smoky eyes with my favourite shade out of the range ‘Smoked Plum’…

Step 1:

Using the mid part of the nib begin apply 'Smoked Plum', £1.99 to the lower lash line and apply to the water line.

Step 2:

To define the eyes use the tip of the nib and apply to the crease line. Also use the widest part of the nib and fill in the centre of the eyelids, this way you have colour all over the eye area.

Step 3:

One thing to emember is that the contour liner is creamy and therefore needs setting to stay in place. So now soften and smudge in the contour liner with your finger or a smudger eye shadow brush.

Step 4:

Now use an eyeshadow in a similiar colour to your contour liner pen, So I have picked the trio eyeshadow set in 'Passion', £2.50 which is perfect to set my contour liner pen.

Step 5: 

Apply the darkest shade of purple out of the trio eye shadow set with a blending brush and soften the contour liner on the lower lash line.

Step 6:

Again using the darkest purple apply this to the crease area to add defintion.

Step 7:

Blend, blend that crease area to get a soft smoky effect. Use a soft blending brush for the best results.

Step 8:

I have highlighted the centre of my eye lids and the inner corner of my eyes with the lightest shade of purple. This will make your eyes pop!

Step 9:

Always highlight your brow bone to define and shape your eyes. Use the white eyeshadow from the trio eye shadow set with a flat oval brush. Finish the eyes off with your favourite MUA mascara to get amazing smoky eyes!
