MUA Intense Pencils (£1.00) are part of the MUA £1 range, which can be purchased from selected Superdrug stores and available online at www.muastore.co.uk. Though there is a full range of your normal shades such as black and white available and many more these range of amazing colours are just amazing for your make-up kit or even for you MUA lovers who love playing with colour!! There are over eight intense colour eyeliners and seven intense glitter eyeliners which can all be viewed on the MUA website. Today I am blogging about the following colours: Forest green, Royal Blue, Turquoise, Bright Orange, and Lovely Lilac.
I’m a HUGE! Fan of the Intense Coloured Pencils!
Bright Orange-
The name of the shade says it all… It’s very, very bright with a fantastic creamy pay off! A hard colour to wear on the eyes, so why not try it on your lips as a lip liner? As this shade on the eyes can make the eye appear sore looking unless you know what you are doing, or you are creating a high fashion look with say orange and black eyes. Here I created bright lips with this beautiful intense coloured eyeliner.
Forest Green-
This colour is just delightful, very strongly pigmented with a slight shimmer to it. It has nice colour payoff in a single pass. These eyeliners are very creamy and should not be worn alone as they will smudge, so remember to set them with a powder eye shadow. I think a green smoky eye look would look fantastic with this forest green eyeliner. Why not try the Glamour Nights eye palette, £4 which has gold and green eyeshadows which will set really nice over the forest green eyeliner?
Royal Blue-
A strong royal dark blue. It has great glide and colour in one stroke. This would be great applied all over the eyelids then set with single pearl eye shadow in Shade ‘10’, £1.
Turquoise-
A beautiful shade with a slight shimmer to it. I hardly had to apply any pressure when using this eyeliner, it glides so easy on the skin leaving a strong pay off. I think this eyeliner will look great applied into the inner corner of the eyes with a black eye shadow applied to the rest of the eye lids for a smoky eye effect.
Lovely Lilac-
It’s a light shimmery lilac shade. It’s not as strong pigmented as the other shades and has a glossier finish. This shade is not as pigmented as the other shades I have reviewed however acts a great base for subtle eye shadow to last longer and appear brighter, a cheap alternative way to how an eye primer would work. Check out this You Tube video where I have used Lovely Lilac as a base to create a subtle bright eyes look inspired by Pixie Lott.

The reason I like the MUA Intense Coloured Pencils so much is they wear well on the water line in addition to the lash line. They’re creamy enough to glide on effortlessly and the majority of the shades deposit solid colour in one pass.
